Angela Dawn Hinshaw

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 30 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church, 1381 Church Street, Ramseur. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at her parents’ home.

Angela is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Edward M. Hinshaw and maternal grandparents, June Shaver Staley and L. Worth Staley and uncles; Joseph Hinshaw, Albert Staley, and Allen Burgett.

Surviving is her son, Michael Scott Bienz of the home; parents, Michael and Debra Staley Hinshaw of Liberty; brother, Eddie Hinshaw of Staley; paternal grandmother, Mildred Coble Hinshaw of Burlington; fiancé, Tommy Canoy of Ramseur; “adopted” sister, Amy McLaughlin of Tampa, FL; special aunt, Ann Smith of Burlington; aunts and uncles; Shirley Hufstetler (Jim) of Piedmont, Alabama; Johnny Staley of Staley, Larry Staley (Edwina) of Siler City, Frances Manley of Liberty, Jimmy Staley of Liberty, Judy Chamberlin (Frank) of Asheboro, Linda Burgett of Liberty, Marion Staley of Farmer, Ken Hinshaw (Joy) of Burlington, Kathy Dotson (Terry) of Greensboro, Carl Hinshaw (Jamie) of Burlington; numerous cousins and her beloved pet, Lizzie the Hedgehog! Everyone who knew Angela had heard of Miss Lizzie.

A special lady, Angela will be remembered by her smile, sense of humor, and her innate ability to make people feel at ease and welcome, (Even when she was having a bad day). She brought joy to our lives and the entire community. Our family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, as hundreds of churches have said prayers for our family, from Iceland to Chile’. All of our friends and neighbors have tirelessly provided for our every need, we can never repay your kindness. Much more will be needed to get Michael through the difficult days ahead, and please keep us in your prayers.
