

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty.
He is the son of the late Clyde Aaron Pierce and Edith Irene Pierce and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Gray, Howard and Kerry Pierce.
Surviving is his sister, Linda P. Jackson and her husband, Ronnie of Siler City; brothers, Gene Pierce and his wife, Elizabeth and Richard Pierce of Liberty and Phil Pierce and his fiancé, Barbara of Pleasant Garden; sister-in-law, Nancy Aydelette Pierce; nieces, Debbie Jordan and Teri Hankins; nephews, Chris Jackson, Matthew Pierce and Ethan Pierce; great nephew, Carson Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), 120 Wall Street, 29th Floor, New York, NY 10005.
