Mr Clifton Black was someone that I had looked up to from the time I started attending Smithwood Church as a child with my Grandmother, Mrs Virgie Bowman. To me, Mr Black was that stabilizing factor of Smithwood Church.
When I started attending church again at Smithwood, it was such a pleasure to see that he was still there and that we could talk about the earlier days as well as current days. He is going to be so terribly missed.
Condolences to his family.
