Donald Wayne Mabe

He was a loving son, brother and uncle. Donald enjoyed serving his community as a volunteer firefighter on the Snow Camp Volunteer Fire Department for 14 years. He was formerly employed by Liberty Oil and The Liberty Showcase.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, 1712 Pleasant Hill Liberty Road, Liberty, NC; burial will follow in Richland Gospel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, May 9, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty and other times at the home of his sister, April.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Reeves Mabe; paternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Mabe; maternal grandmother, Helen Cox; paternal great-grandparents, Edgar and Ruby Johnson.

Donald is survived by his father, Howard Mabe (Connie Lee); sister, April Basden (Johnny); and nephews, Bryson, Jeremiah "LJ", and Zachary Basden; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
