Dora Thompson Johnson

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Liberty with Rev. Howard Spray and Rev. Noah Albarez officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home, 212 West Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty.

Dora was the daughter of the late Dugan Thompson and Mary Cotner Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Calvin “Buck” Johnson; brothers, William, Clarence, Thomas and Ernest Thompson; sisters, Maureen, Mattie and Barbara Jean Thompson, and Kathleen Thompson Bailey.

Surviving is her daughters, Janice Duncan and her husband, Carlos, Linda Davis and her husband, Johnny; sons, Larry Johnson and his wife, Wanda, Tommy Johnson and Bobby Johnson; ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
