Playing golf was her favorite pastime along with sharing the love of the game with her "golf kids" she was even able to help coach the girls golf team at Jordan Matthews High School. She enjoyed dancing and working out at the Senior Center.
She was the daughter of the late William Boone and Ruth Woodall McVay and was also preceded in death by her husbands, Samuel Coleman Eanes and William "Bill" Brinkley.
Surviving are her sons, Jeff Eanes and his wife, Allison and Gary "G.W." Eanes; grandson, Ethan Eanes and his wife, Rachel and Wesley Eanes; great-grandchildren, Ivy and Hudson Eanes; sisters, Nancy Crouse, Carolyn Vargas, Betty Moore and Elsie Williams; and brothers, William David Pavey and Larry Maddox.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home, 212 W. Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty, NC with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. in The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest in Staley Cemetery in Staley, NC.
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Carolina, 126 S. 6th Avenue, Siler City, NC 27344.
