Dorothy “Dot” Susan Lewis Reynolds, 96, of Liberty, joined her husband at her heavenly home on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at White Oak Manor in Burlington.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel in Liberty; burial will follow the service at Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home and other times at the home of Janice Wells.

Dot was the daughter of the late William Austin and Letishia Goins Lewis and was also preceded in death by her husband, Harper “Lockey” Reynolds; sisters, Nannie Mae Walls, Bessie Freeman, Lula Webb, Gertrude Blakley, Kate Jankowski, Beulah Lewis, Lottie Lewis and Stacy Lewis; and brothers, Sherman Lewis and Frank Lewis.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice R. Wells (Ronnie) and Kathy R. Leonard (Phil); grandchildren, Laurie Golden (Todd), Jennifer Ladd (Gene), Phillip Wells, Gena Kahn (Josh), Catherine Miller (Doug); great-grandchildren, Jacob Miller, Dominic Kahn, Jeremy Golden, Kristin McDaniel (Jordan), David Ladd, and Michael Ladd; and great-great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Aiden Ladd and Emily and Serenity McDaniel.

One of my favorite places to go as a child was to visit Uncle Locky and Aunt Dorothy. I remember them both being very kind. Aunt Dot always had interesting stories to tell. I especially enjoyed going for watermelons and cantaloupes and playing with my favorite cousins.
