A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 10th at 2:00 p.m. in The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Travis Brock; burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.
The Family will receive friends on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Whitfield was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Whitfield and her son, Morris Whitfield.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Wanda Whitfield of Fayetteville, NC and two special friends, Polly Frye of Greensboro and Denise Southern of Liberty.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sandy Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 4765 Sandy Creek Church Road, Liberty, NC 27298 or to a charity of your choice.
