Emogene Daniel

February 12, 1929June 6, 2019

On Thursday, June 6, 2019, Emogene Daniel, 90, of Liberty passed away peacefully at home.

Gene leaves behind sisters, Nellie Oakley of Lakeland, FL and Dorothy Amick of Liberty. Gene is also survived by her brother-in-law, Franklin Lednum who has been her faithful companion since the passing of his beloved wife, Margie, in 2006.

Gene's memory will be cherished by her nieces and nephews, especially David Daniel whom Gene, Margie and Franklin raised since he was a young boy.

Gene was devoted to God and her church. As she did on the day of her passing, her days began with the Bible and prayer. She loved to garden and her bountiful tomato harvest was legendary. Her woods are filled with hundreds of daffodils.

A memorial service will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church, Staley on Sunday, June 9, at 2:00 p.m. Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty is honored to serve Gene’s family.
