I'm sorry for the great loss you're having to endure. You all are in my prayers! I never actually got to meet him, but I've heard a lot about him. I have grown very close to the family over the years and I know this is hitting you hard. I am so sorry for this tragic event. May he watch over all of you as he reaches the golden shore. He will never be forgotten. He may not be here in person but no one can ever take your memories. Love all of you, Love Sissy!

Ed, we were married for 20 years. You were a "jack of all trades, master of none". There was nothing you couldn't do if you set your mind to it. You were not one to say I'm sorry, but would find other ways to let me know.
To our daughters, please know that your dad loved you very much and though he may have been grumpy with you at times, that was just his way.
Take comfort from the memories you have and hold them in your heart. Bring them out when you are sad. He is in God's arms now and will no longer be in pain.

My love and prayers are with my nieces and their families.
I know the loss is great but, I also know that God’s grace is sufficient.
Being a former sister in-law to Ed, Ronnie and I and our children have a ton of memories of our families together times. The hours we spent at each other’s homes playing cards and cooking out. Lots of fun and laughter.
Ed and Carolyn introduced us to out first venison. When I was told we were having a deer ham for supper one visit. Ed said “y’all will eat that right? “ I said “ I don’t know, we’ve never had it before.” Well it was absolutely delicious and my the end of the night, after the kids kept coming back to the table. Not a bite was left on the bone. Ed said “ I guess you do eat deer. “

Ed will absolutely be missed by those who knew him. He was one of a kind! In the best way. I remember the day I met him. It was 20 years ago this past May and I was moving in and he was dressed to the nines to go dancing. He came straight over and introduced himself and after talking a few minutes asked if I wanted to go dancing with him. 😂 And boy did he love his horses! He was always riding over when he had them. He was certainly a hoot! He never failed to make me laugh, even on my worst days! He didn't like to see anyone sad. Ed had a heart of gold and loved his family dearly. I didn't get to see him very often once he got sick but I'm grateful for the times I did and for the memories I have of him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Ed was a really good man and I'm thankful I got to know him and call him my friend. ❤️🙏
