A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Church of Christ in Liberty, officiated by Reverend Marion Smith. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. York was the daughter of the late George and Mary Ann Dodson Duncan. She was also preceded in death by her son James David York, four brothers and one brother in-law.
Surviving are her husband James L. York “Jr.”, sisters; Florence Smith of Climax, Louise Kivett of Ramseur, Helen Langley of Liberty, Betty Coltrane of Liberty, sister in-laws; Rachel Ingram of Asheboro, Emily Duncan of Greensboro, Gloria Duncan of Nashville, TN, brothers; James C. Duncan of Greensboro, George Duncan of Greensboro, Jerry Duncan of Climax, Kenneth Duncan of Bolivia, NC, and many loving nieces and nephews.
