The passing of a loved one is always tough to understand, but having good memories is the key to cherishing the bond. Foster Street was my favorite place to hang out when I was a kid. That’s because Uncle George was always in teaching mode. He taught me how overcome math challenges, the difference between a Pontiac and a Chevrolet, and how to crack acorns among others things. UG was a man full of knowledge. He will be missed, but most of all he will always be loved.

My sons and I lived beside George and his family for 10 years and for 10 years he watched over us and was the BEST neighbor and FRIEND that I could ever ask for. He was so kind to us ALWAYS! He is a GREAT GREAT man and I will truly miss him with my whole heart!

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of George. We worked together at Michael Thomas Furniture for many years and he would open the store I once owned and fix the best breakfast sandwiches in the community. He was a good friend to me and will be missed. My prayers are with the family.
