My Paw Paw was a wonderful person. He was always caring, kind, and thoughtful. His wisdom was always given with love and kindness. His great laugh was contagious and he was always so playful. He was a man of few words, but always said the thing that made it all better and made me feel loved. His gentle spirit will be greatly missed!
Some of my favorite memories of him was from when I was little. I loved watching him get ready to go out. He always let me comb his hair, and spray the hair spray. He taught me about baseball. He would let me eat tomatoes out of the garden when grandma was not looking. One of the funniest memories was when he would alert me to a fly on my Uncle Eddie. Which of course I had to try and kill, with the fly swatter, although I rarely saw one on him. There are to many to list, but these are some of my favorites.

I am so sorry for this rock foundation of our family. If not for them, there would have been no continuation of the Shelar family in George's line of the family. He was a good and honorable man, a loving and kind husband and a great father, grandfather and great grandfather. He may be gone from this physical world, but he has been blessed in joining with his beloved wife in Heaven. The angels choir has once more been given a great addition to their voice. The stars will forever shine brighter now that two have joined together. I may only be married into this wonderful family of Shelars, but I can't think of a better family to be a part of; outside my own. I love you all.
