Mr. Henry Boyd Bowman Sr.

Mr. Henry Boyd Bowman, Sr., 80, of Julian, passed away on March 6, 2010. He was born in Guilford County to James and Menty May Bowman.

In addition to his parents, Henry, is preceded in death by a brother, Bob Bowman.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Betty Jane Sullivan Bowman; daughters, Peggy Shoffner (Larry) of Greensboro and Susan Smith (Mike) of Julian; son, Hank Bowman (Louisa) of Raleigh; sisters, Avonne Coley (Jake) of Greensboro, Jeanette Coffer (Richard) of Julian; brother, Ed Bowman (Sharon) of Kernersville; sister-in-law, Barbara Bowman; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends March 7, 2010, 4:00-6:00 pm, at Coble’s Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be March 8, 2010, 4:00 pm, at Coble’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Grady Beaver officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
