Jake had such a humble, kind, soft spoken way about him, which made him so easy to love. He always reached down to put his loving arms around me when we encountered each other at the family get togethers. I loved him because he was real and took such pleasure in "just being there". He did not require being the center of attention, but his sweet spirit spoke volumes of the kind of man he really was. I feel sadness for those who watched him fade away before their eyes and for those who could not be there. May we keep his memory alive by remembering his love for all of us and strive to reflect the love of Christ as he did.
