Brenda I'm so sadden to read about Jimmy. May God give you strength and comfort during this time in your life. I remember you and Jimmy coming to our class reunions and sitting around talking with each other. Those times I will always remember. Remember God will not put no more on us than we can bear. Praying for you.

Brenda, Chris, Mary Alice,
We were stunned about Jimmy's too-soon departure from us. We have many fond memories: from seeing him at CCCC, to dancing at the Showcase, and just running into him at various places. He earns extra stars in his heavenly crown for all those hot summer trips to Graceland! He was such a nice person. You were all lucky to have him.
We hope time and fond memories will sustain you in your future.

Love,
Sandra and Dee Martin

Dear Brenda and Family,

I was so shocked to hear of Jimmy's death yesterday on Facebook. I am truly sad to hear of his passing. Jimmy was one of the most pleasant and best people I met while at Alamance Community College. He was smart-- yet humble, funny--but never cruel. He didn't miss anything, but was always generous in his comments and observations.

Life will undoubtedly be different without Jimmy to keep life in perspective and fun, but there must be solace in knowing that he was an exceptional man who will rest in peace. It would be a different world if we were all as good as Jimmy was. Jimmy and all of you will be in my prayers.

I will be lifting each of Cousin Jimmy’s family up to our LORD and asking for comfort and strength. I just got back in touch with Jimmy last year and I so regret we never made the time to visit and see all his family. We are related through our Grandparents. They were Brother and Sister. It had been many years since we had been in contact but I remember as a child our families going to Liberty to visit Jimmy and his parents. I know He was a man of GOD and I will see Him again and the rest of the family when we all gather around our JESUS. With Love Sandi Stephenson

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of Jimmy. I had the distinct pleasure of knowing your husband and father as a fraternity brother while at Wake Forest. Jimmy was always a man of great integrity and of unquestionable character. He was the type of brother that was always there for you when you needed a favor or just to talk. Although Jimmy and I haven’t actually talked in far too many years, I always looked forward to his emails and photos of the “good old days”. I will miss those emails.
May God bless you and comfort you in this most difficult time.

Terry and I are deeply saddened by Jimmy’s passing. Over the last two days I have read many comments about Jimmy. The words that keep repeating are “Kind, gentle, caring, friendly, giving”!! Jimmy was all of these things! I think the characteristic that always came through the strongest to us, and that which Jimmy would want to remember most for, was his dedication and love for his students and his family!

Jimmy was a valued friend and colleague to both Terry and me! We will greatly miss our friend!!
