He was the son of the late Hardin and Girthia Coble Brown. Danny was also preceded in death by his son, Joseph “Joe” Danny Brown, brothers; Roger Brown, “Bud” Brown, sister; Ruby Brown and sister-in-law, Diane King Brown.
Danny is survived by his daughter; Laura Finley and husband, Robert of Callaway, Virginia; sister-in-law; Connie Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He attended Nathanael Greene School for education and later received a diploma from Winston Salem Barber School. Danny proudly served his country in the US Army. He loved deer hunting, taking long walks through the woods, fishing and camping, simply put, he was a true outdoorsman. One of his favorite pastimes was painting; drawing beautiful scenes he had witnessed over the years. When he wasn’t enjoying the outdoors, you could find him watching old movies, especially Westerns. Danny loved his family and friends, spending time with them, taking in all the simple joys of life.
A visitation will be held to receive family and friends at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with burial immediately following at Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park. For all that cannot be in attendance, a live viewing of the funeral can be found on The Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty Facebook page.
