Jimmy spent many years as a long-haul truck driver and diesel mechanic.

He was the son of the late Lacy Brown and Mary Walker Brown and was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Francis Dodison Brown; and brother, Harold Brown.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Kenneth Darrell Brown (Jenny) of Reidsville; brother, Fred Brown of Greensboro; sisters, Irene Bishop of Fort White, FL and Ollie Herndon (Benny) of Winston-Salem and several nieces and nephews.
