John Alexander Cummings Sr.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Holly’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Dwayne Lester and Rev. Mark Ainsworth officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty.

He was the son of the late Melvin Alexander and Mamie Macy Cummings and was also preceded in death by brothers, Theodore, Matthew, Billy Caroll, and Melvin Cummings and sister, Margaret Jordan.

Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Patsy Kirtner Cummings; daughter, Zina Cummings; sons, Johnny Cummings and his wife, Courtney and Timothy Cummings and his wife, Pam; sisters, Mary Ann Overman and Alma Joseph, brothers, Howard and Joseph Cummings; grandchildren, Cory, Chelsea, Kody, Patrick, Shane and Kristina and 11 great-grandchildren.
