I had The opportunity to work for him many years through my high school and some college years, summers of course. He spent his winters in Mexico which I was jealous of and now I have come to learn why, having been there a number of times. Every time I hear songs played across the loudspeakers from the jukebox spinning 45s, i’m immediately taken back to Lake Juno and the feelings that I had throughout those years. Great memories never to be replaced.

I lived and helped Junior at Lake Juno for about the last 10 years he had the lake open. I knew his family and was great friends with his sister Ruth. Junior helped so many folks and was genuinely a kind soul. He cried when I told him I was moving to Asheville to help my son. I cried too. I stopped to see him whenever I was back in town visiting my mother. So many good memories of him. He will be missed. Rest In Peace Junior. God Bless you and your family!!

Mr. Jenkins was a great person and will really be missed by many people. Me and my parents camped out at lake Juno for many years back in the early 80's and he's going to be missed by many of his friends. Just year before last he came into the store where I worked at and looking for him a truck box for his truck and I had the pleasure of getting it down off the shelf for him and he still remember me from the early 80's
