He died after a short illness on Memorial Day, May 25, 2026. Ken met his wife, Patricia Clark, at a square dance and they married in 1951. Together, they raised eight children and were happily married for 51 years until her death in 2002.
Ken served in the Army and was a proud Korean War veteran. He was an active member for many years of the Pattenburg, NJ VFW and Rolling Thunder motorcycle group, raising awareness of the POW/MIA issue. Ken worked in truck mechanics for his whole career. He lived in NJ for most of his life and moved to NC in 2008.
Ken loved his family, reading (he always had a book nearby), playing softball, old country music, square dancing, horses, dogs and above all his motorcycle. His favorite thing to do was just to get on his bike and ride, exploring backroads for on hours on end.
Ken is survived by his children: Kathy (Dan), Tom (Kathy), Dennis, Craig (Sue), Patti (Fabi), and Kim; grandchildren: Zach, Brendan, Jamie (Geoff), Tommy, Noah, Joe (Gail), Crystal (Leah), Saschya and Tyese; great-grandchildren: Jesse, Leland, Penny, Remy and Joey. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Pat, his sons Kevin and Mark and his siblings.
A private celebration of his life is planned by his family on a later date.
