Kenneth Overman

He was a native of Randolph County and was commissioned as Second Lieutenant in the Army Air Forces in World War II where he was a pilot and flight instructor. He was a retired self-employed grading contractor.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 10:00 am at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Moore, burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Liberty.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening until 5:00 -7:00 pm at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty.

Surviving is his wife of 71 years, Lucille Fields Overman of the home; sisters, Doris Smith (Ben) of Liberty, Esther Jones (Walter) of Greensboro, Fran Austin of Emerald Isle and Mary Lou Allred of Asheboro and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to Hospice of Randolph County, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
