Lloyd Charles Sutton

Lloyd Charles Sutton, 80, of Asheboro passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro.

He retired as vice president from Ecolab after 45 years of service and was an avid animal lover especially his horses, dogs and cats.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, 1712 Pleasant Hill-Liberty Road, Liberty with Rev. Howard Spray and Rev. Willie Pickard officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty and other times at the home of Josh Combs.

He was the son of the late Edward Charles and Margaret Ann Phinn Sutton and was also preceded in death by his first wife of 36 years, Shirley York Sutton and his second wife of 22 years, Janice Rutledge Sutton; daughter, Kimberly Terry and son-in-law Tommy Terry; and sisters, Margaret Ruth Sutton and Shirley Sutton.

Surviving are his daughters, Cindy Hopkins, and Tamra Mitchell and her wife, Bridgett; grandchildren, Chris Terry, Kevin Terry, Adam Terry, Krista Frenchak and her husband, Justin and Josh Combs and his wife, Tammy; and 12 great-grandchildren.
