My mother, Eleanor Hruslinski, and Lucy became good friends while working together at "First Federal." Lucy was always kind and caring and fun. She and Mother supported each other through good and bad times as Christian friends. Our family valued Lucy's friendship and I hope her family will be comforted by their memories of her well lived life.

So sorry for your loss but I know Lucy is with Jesus today
That assurance makes all things better

Lucy and I worked together at First Federal Savings and Loan, for several years. We were friends, would have lunch together sometimes. I also enjoyed being with Lucy and Calvin at various functions.

I have fond memories of Lucy from all of the years of Christian Endeavor that we shared. She and Calvin were always right there at every meeting and conference, whether she was in the kitchen cooking with Verla and the other CE women, cleaning the bathrooms to get them ready for attendees, or leading in singing. She had a heart for both adults and youth, and I never heard her speak a harsh word to anyone in all the years that we were together. She was a kind friend to my grandparents, which then translated down to my parents and then down to me. While she will be missed, her 90 years on this earth were ones that she lived for the glory of her Heavenly Father, whom she now is in the presence of. Praise be to the Father for her life well-lived! Calvin, Patrick, and all the rest of the crew, may the God of peace bring comfort to all who knew and loved her, and may the memories of joy stand in the times when the sorrows come.

I'll never forget the Wednesday night that I first visited Pleasant Hill Christian church. Mrs. Daisy Wrenn came to sit beside me and introduced herself. Then she introduced me to Lucy and made her come sit with us too. I knew at that moment I had found my new church home. They both have rewards in heaven for the love they showed me that day.

First, I have to say I know that Lucy was a prayer warrior . I am thankful for that part of her life because I believe her prayers played a part in me coming to know Christ as my Savior.
A few of my favorite memories of her are of her leading circle meetings and especially her playing the piano when we would go caroling at her house at Christmas. She taught me many things just by how she lived her life. She left a lasting legacy with her love for Christ and sharing that love through music, prayer, and mission work. Much love to the family!
