Melody Vickrey Reynolds

Melody Vickrey Reynolds of Greensboro, NC passed away after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. She was surrounded by her family. She was born on February 6, 1958, in Burlington, NC and is a graduate of Williams High School. She was married to Bryant Thomas “Tom” Reynolds on June 2, 2012. Melody and Tom enjoyed close to 30 years together. She was a gifted leader who retired from a career in finance, where she made many lifelong friends.

Melody loved traveling and spending time at Ocean Isle Beach with her family and friends. Her love for family was evident in everything she did. She made sure everyone knew they were loved and was the first person any of her friends and family would call if they needed advice or someone to just listen and make them smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Franklin “Frank” Vickrey, Sr. and Vera Shepherd Vickrey. She is survived by her husband Tom Reynolds, her daughter Jennifer Goldenbaum (Brian Goldenbaum) of Hampstead, NC, her son Trevor Underwood (Aspen Johnson) of Cary, NC, her step-daughter Kristin Reynolds of Mt Pleasant, SC, her step-son Evan Reynolds (Janele Reynolds) of Holly Springs, NC; 5 grandchildren, Jackson Currin, Nora Currin, Cleo Underwood, Everett Reynolds, and Juliet Reynolds; her brother Jim Vickrey (Denise Vickrey) of Salisbury, NC, and her brother Benny Vickrey (Brenda) of Lexington, NC.

The family will be receiving friends at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty, NC on Tuesday, June 27th with a visitation at 1:00 PM and memorial service at 2:00 PM; burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Liberty.
