Melvin Denver Williams

Melvin Denver Williams, 81, passed away at his home on Friday, May 3, 2019.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty; burial will be following the service at Alamance Memorial Park in Burlington. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Loflin Funeral Home.

Denver proudly served his country in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division.

He was born in Onslow County, NC to the late Perry and Florence Batchelor Williams and was also preceded in death by his sons, Travis Franklin Williams and Denver Nixon Williams; and sister, Hildridge Councilman.

Denver is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Evelyn Richardson Williams; daughters, Cynthia Williams, Florence Williams and Terri Lyn Foster; son, James Michael McBride; brother, Perry Jason Williams; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

We shared memories both good and bad in the past...we share a grandson, Daniel, together and everything seems to have turned out for the best according to God's will..I was deeply sadden to hear of Denver's death..I do know about the sadness you now feel. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to you and family
