Michelle Nichole Jenks

Michelle's smile will forever be remembered, lighting up every room she entered. She was always smiling and her laugh was contagious. She loved listening to music, going shopping and spending time with family and friends. Trips to the beach, wakeboarding and boating on Jordan Lake and snowboarding in Vail, Colorado were some of her favorite things to do. She was so witty and her sense of humor was hilarious; clever and quick with comebacks, she always kept us laughing until our ribs hurt.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mallie and Jeannie Gouthiere Jenks and maternal grandparents, William Gilmore and Alta Belle Gilmore Mills.

Michelle is survived by her parents, Michael and Kathy Gilmore Jenks; two sons, Kane and Michael Jenks; sisters, Tammy Yates and Kristi Gilmore; and two brothers, Chris and Tony Yates.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, 212 W. Swannanoa Avenue, Liberty, NC. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
