

Nancy was a 1978 graduate of Southern Alamance High School, a member of the UNCG School of Music, Class of 1983, and a member of Mu Phi Epsilon. She was the choir director for over 30 years at Pleasant Hill Christian Church and was very involved with the church, willing to give of her time wherever there was a need. She was the volunteer pianist for the Belles and Sons for more than 10 years. Nancy was the Vice President of Daniels Lumber Sales. She cherished her family and was the thread that held them tightly together, always the brightest smile in the room; she was a welcoming spirit and enjoyed being the hostess of the party.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Christian Church officiated by Rev. Howard Spray; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jack Carlton Daniels.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Gene Layton Aldridge, Jr.; daughters, Sara Dinkins (Dereck), Emily Aldridge, Natalie Teague (Davey) and Jacklyn Aldridge; granddaughter, Gracie Teague and grandsons, Connor and Blake Dinkins; mother, Grace Russell Daniels Cheek; Stepfather, Ralph Cheek; brother, Jimmy Daniels (Kim); stepbrother, Gary Cheek (Vickie); stepsister, Dawn Pugh (Randy).
