Aunt Nan was a second mother to me. Growing up I spent many weekends and weeks during the summer with my cousin, Tammy. Nan was always wanting to know what I wanted, what we wanted to have for meals. One thing I remember is watching Nan make homemade french fries and grilled cheese sandwiches. Oh my goodness. She had the timing down perfect. Turned them at the exact moment and served as only perfection would allow. Over the years, I've shared many thoughts, feelings, secrets that I know never left her lips. These last six days have been the most heartbreaking...I would have never, in a million lifetimes, conceived the loss of my mother and my 2nd mother, at the same time. I will always remember the wonderful times we had at the Backyard Grill and will do my best to represent with Tammy.
I love you, Nan.

Grandma as I called her was a very sweet woman. I would see her once a month when she came in for her pedicure. I was the only one she trusted to do toes. Sometimes I wouldn’t see her for a couple months & she would come into our nail shop and say she is so sorry she is late, money has been tight for her. I would tell Grandma Nancy to not worry about it, just come in and I would do her toes for her. The last time I got to do her pedicure was on October 3rd, 2019. I picked out this pretty fall orange for her and she loved it so much. The last time I got to see & speak to her was on October 5th, 2019. She smiled so hard and grabbed my hand & asked me how I was doing and I asked how her toes was looking. I’ll always remember her sweet voice and her being so generous. Uber Grandma was her nickname around the nail shop. I will forever miss & love her. And I am happy I got to do her toes one last time.

We are so sorry for the loss of your sweet mother. We will be out of town during the services but wanted you all to know we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss our occasional meetings with Nancy at Walmart (yes, seen her there 3-4 times last few months) and getting caught up with news of family. She was always eager to share her kind smile and sweet nature with us. May you keep living on with the wonderful memories!
