She was a loved mother and Mimie to her family.

She was the daughter of the late Jatha Rowe and Ella May Woolard Alligood and was also preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Neville Shannon and Reginald Leroy Taylor; four sisters and four brothers.
Naomi is survived by three daughters, Virginia Dare Shannon Taylor (Dan), Shirley Shannon Williams (Larry), and Ella Shannon Brown (David); grandchildren, Dena Bailey (Tim), Joey Bateman, Stephanie Williams, Christin Smith, Shannon Morris (Gordon), and Katelyn Duval; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
