Reva Alderman Kennedy

She was a member of the Liberty First United Methodist Church and a native of Sampson County.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Loflin Funeral Home Chapel; officiated by Rev. Eugene E Dean, Jr.; burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 20th from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty.

She was the daughter of the late Walter A. and Maggie Estelle Cox Alderman and she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Doris Starling and Geraldine Simmons.

Surviving is her husband of 64 years, Clarence Kennedy; daughter, Gail Kennedy Ray of Colfax; son, Clyde Kennedy of Robbins; sisters, Ida Dodd of Gibsonville, Nancy Garland of Sophia, Patricia Hicks of Burlington, Edna May of Liberty; brothers, Charles Alderman of Graham, Frank Alderman of Glade Spring, VA and one grandchild.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405 or First United Methodist Church, PO Box 220, Liberty, NC 27298.
