Ruth Peterson Rider

Services are private.

She was the daughter of the late Ray and Nellie Campbell Peterson of Fort Collins, CO and was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Aubert Rider and three brothers, Vernon, Ralph and Lyle Eugene Peterson.

Surviving are her daughters, Catherine Rider Berg and Nell Ruth Rider and sons, Frederick Timothy Rider, Robert Michael Rider, Richard George Rider, Christian Paul Rider, Ray Aubert Rider and Skye Kirby Rider; sister, Barbara Eades-Bock; brother, Dale Peterson and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruth was a long time teacher at Liberty Elementary School where she taught 1st, 3rd and 6th grades. She was active in her church for many years of her life, did missionary work in Texas, and was a Meals on Wheels volunteer for many years.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations, in her name, to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 220, Liberty, NC 27298.
