He was the son of the late John Wyatt and Annie Glasscoe McDowell and was also preceded in death by his brothers, John McDowell, Jr. and Edward McDowell.
Tommy is survived by his daughter, Julie Kearns and her husband, Donald; grandson, Aiden Kearns; best friend, Judy Whitfield; and sisters, Donna Cunningham and Kathy Faircloth.
