Virginia Ruth Staley Hicks

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm, at Pleasant Union United Methodist Church, Liberty, officiated by Rev. Keith Newell. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 2:00 pm till 3:00 pm at Pleasant Union United Methodist Church, Liberty.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Louvilla Mae Staley; sister, Thelma Osborne; brothers, Hubert “Bud” Staley, Ted Staley and Dean Staley

Ruth is survived by her husband of 63 years, Carlton “Bill” Hicks; sisters Patsy Smith (William V.), Linda Gilmore (Bill), Peggy Jones (Bobby); brothers, George Staley (Patty), Kenneth Staley ( Betty Jean), Gwynn Staley ( Dee Ann); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wished to express gratitude to Hospice of Randolph. The family also is extremely appreciative of the loving care and attention provided by Debbie Collins and Barbara Hicks Farrington over the recent months.
