William "Billy" Edward Mabry

William Edward “Billy” Mabry left this world to go work on God’s Chariots, Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Billy was reared in Richmond, Virginia and moved to Liberty in 1996. He was a mechanic and worked for area garages the latest being Lawson & Parks of Asheboro. When not working, Billy enjoyed fishing, boating, Nascar and football.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel; burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at his mother’s home.

Billy had brain cancer for 2 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Ray Mabry, Sr., nephew, Michael Mabry and great niece McKayla Davis.

He is survived by his mother, Mildred Mabry Holder; two brothers, Alton Ray Mabry, Jr. and Robert Dale Mabry, Sr. all of Liberty; two sisters, Carole Layton of Carolina Beach and Rebecca Law of Franklinville; three nephews, DJ Mabry, Joey Coble and Billy Law; 1 niece, Jennifer Davis and one great-niece, Savannah Davis and girlfriend, Donna Littlefield.
