William Earle Burgess

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm at The Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, in Liberty, officiated by Rev. Kemper Upchurch; burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00-1:45 pm at the funeral home.

William was the son of the late Clyde and Colleen Teague Burgess and was also preceded in death by his stepson, George Poe, and brother, Bruce Burgess.

Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Margaret Massey Burgess; sons Ricky Burgess (JoAnn) of Sophia, Charles Keith Burgess of Pleasant Garden; stepson, Jason Poe of Pleasant Garden; brother, Charles Burgess; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
