William Henry Teague Sr.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 12-12:45 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

Bill was the son of the late Lewis Henry Teague and Mollie Hornady Teague. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Simon Teague.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Garrinette Stout Teague; son William “Billy” Henry Teague, Jr.; honorary daughter and granddaughter Susan and Ashley Hollan; sister Gail Teague Moore and husband Ronnie Moore; sister-in-law, Betty Teague; and brother-in-law, John Stout.

Bill was a loving husband and father, brother, uncle and friend. He was an avid gardener, with a passion for his lawn and roses bushes, often sharing cuttings and dogwood saplings with others. He was a pilot who enjoyed sharing his love of flight with others.

Bill was the retired owner of Bill's Barber Shop in Liberty. He was on the board of directors of Liberty Savings and Loan, the board of directors of Security Savings Bank. He was on the NC Board of Barber Examiners and was Board Chairman from 1989 through 1993. He was a former youth group leader at Pleasant Hill Christian Church.
