

He was born on May 23,1938 in Brooklyn, New York to Georgio Bocchieri and Rose Hansen.
He graduated from Lafayette High School and was on course to be a Major League baseball player but a broken leg and the timing of it changed his course. He went on to earn a full college scholarship for soccer the next year having no experience In the sport previously.He declined the scholarship
to work and provide
his family,
being the oldest of nine children.
At the age of 22 he went on to join the United States Marine Corps.After his honorable discharge he became employed by the New York City Transit Authority and retired at the age of 50. He married Rosell Libow on October 6, 1962.
Together they had two children, Tina Lynn Bocchieri and Neil Scott Bocchieri.They were happily married for 57 years.He enjoyed family dinners, holidays, spending time with his siblings and sports.
He is also survived by five beautiful grandchildren who he loved wholeheartedly. He loved going to their activities including baseball,basketball and school functions.
He was so proud of them. He loved hiking in the mountains of Colorado with them. He was a selfless provider and loved the music of Frank Sinatra and the big band era as well as great food and drink.
Funeral Services will be held for Albert Bocchieri on Thursday, June 27th 9:30am at St. Ambrose Church at 380 Federal Highway in Deerfield Beach, Florida 33441 and followed by a Military Ceremony at South Florida National Cemetery at 650 FL-7 Lake Worth, Florida 33449.
Albert lived a long, full, happy, healthy life with lots of love and "did it his way" till the very end. No words can convey the love for him felt by his family and friends.
