My best moments a wonderful husband ♥️

Our deepest condolences to the family and love ones. Alberto was a High School close friend and if I may say he was family. We attended FDR High School back in the days, he was my mother’s neighbor and a brother to us all. He was funny, a loving and caring person that made everyone laugh. When I close my eyes and reminisce of our High School days, all that comes to mind is a visual of  Alberto dancing to his favorite disco song, “Kung Fu Fighting,” by a Jamaican vocalist, Carl Douglas. How he loved that song and you couldn’t tell him that he wasn’t dancing.
We have been searching for Alberto and the family for years and we weren’t able reach him. This evening  around midnight my husband and I decided to search the web and there was my dear friend Alberto’s obituary.  It brought tears, sadness and pain. We are in shocking to read of you passing, but as a man of God I/We know that we will meet again at that great gathering, my brother…  R.I.P. Alberto

Al, words cannot describe how much I miss you. As my coach on and off the diamond, I learned so much from you as a man navigating through life. I’ll never forget the memories we had and will carry them forever (like how we got our nicknames). I’ll always remember the last thing you told me: “Oye Yuca, I love you dude!” That meant the world to me. You touched countless others the same way and it’s amazing to me how you always made everyone feel that you were their best friend. With your passing, there is a void that will never be filled but your legend will live on. Now that you have Mickey Mantle as your center fielder, I can rest assured knowing that you’re not tracking down a wild throw from me with the game on the line. Platanito, I love you forever dude!! My deepest condolences to Karen, Ana, and the entire Nuñez family.

His kindness, compassion and faith had no boundaries.
Even though I only worked for him for a short time, he has left a huge hole in our lives, but his light will always shine.

I am one of the old timers at BCAD, having worked with Al through the 90's until I retired in 2000.  When Al started working with us, we knew we had one of a kind.  He was a good Christian and family man.  Even after I retired I got together with Al and his buddy Angel to go fishing sometimes.  He was a good friend and will be greatly missed.  These words of deepest sympathy are sent to his family with the hope that, as time goes by, cherished memories will help bring you inner peace, and make Alberto seem still very close to you. Al was on my interview panel and I am sure was instrumental in my recent hiring with BCAD.  While I was only acquainted with Al, during the interview he made me feel as if we were old friends and I really felt like I belonged here before I had even started my new job.  I know I would have enjoyed working with him and probably even more so having that friendship.  Rest in peace and may God bless his family.

Words truly cannot describe how shocked I am.  Having met you over 4 years ago, I can say that you truly were a gem. Even when times were rough, you were always smiling and looking for a positive outcome in any situation.  Maintenance building will never be the same; I would hear you before ever seeing you and laughing with you without even hearing the joke - that's the effect you had on everyone.  You were a family man, and I felt as though I knew your family without ever meeting them. And you embraced everyone as though they were family as well.  That trait will be forever missed.  I am so glad to have met you, to have worked with you, to have played softball with you, to have joked with you, and most importantly laughed with you.  May you Sleep in Peace. My deepest sympathies go out to the entire Nunez family.  I offer you thoughts an well-wishes during this time.

I will never forget his big smile. One of the few approachable BCAD employee. He was a professional, friendly and respectable man, now I understand...He is a man of God. He always made time to stop by and say Good morning or Good afternoon. God bless him and may he rest eternally in the arms of Jesus.

Al ever since I met you almost 30 years ago you have been the same man. You always had a positive attitude about almost everything in life & always willing & trying to help anyone. You had this positive aura around you that would attract people to you because they loved having you in their life, whether it was in personal relationships or professional relationships. You had so much energy and love of life that it was hard for us common people to keep up with you. You helped me so much in my personal & professional life and made me the person I am today, and I will never forget that. You taught me so many life lessons that I still use. Most importantly you were my friend!! All the private talks we had on our " you got a minute we need to go over here to check something out" rides that would end up being a 3-4 hour " Minute" ..lol You were also a great family man and your family meant the world to you. You would always brag about them to all of us. You were larger than life at the airport. If there was any questions or problems from MX, the contractors, to the airlines, everyone would say " call Al. He'll know the answer." You have left a huge void here at the airport that will never be healed or forgotten, but we will continue to do our best & if we are stuck we will think " How would Al handle this?" My sincere condolences to the whole Nunez family. I know their hearts will never fully heal but the memories of you will help them through this rough time. I will miss you and love you my Friend.

Al was a good coworker. When I bought my house years ago he came over for an electrical issue. He was always smiling and happy when I saw him at work. I am sorry for the loss to the family, staff at the airport, and to the rest of those who knew him. May his memory be a blessing.
