Conrad was a man of many talents. He taught me a lot. I was fortunate to know him, He always had a way of making me laugh. He was, quite the character! He will be sorely missed by family and friends! I was very sadden to hear of Connie's passing. Even though I have not seen him and Inez in a few years they were always in my heart. I count myself blessed to have been part of such a loving family and to have known such a kind, thoughtful and loving man. He will be greatly missed. Jr and renea-I loved reading your memories of poppie. So many people he has touched in his lifetime and the many memories for all of us he has left behind. I will never forget my season I had with poppie and inee. Building on the cabin, dq trips, the races, the trips, the food, the fundraisers, and most of all the laughs. I know I have never laughed so much in my life than I did during those years. Poppie, you will be missed but know we will see each other again one day. Uncle Connie was always the "fun uncle", letting us act silly when we were kids - and acting silly with us. He was a man of few words, but had some great one-liners! Uncle Connie was smart like an engineer, funny like a comic, and sweet like a teddy bear. He called me his little niece and was always so kind. He will be greatly missed. I've only known this Precious Man as my "Grandpa" and his Lovely bride as my "Grandma" we adopted one another in our Hearts years ago. We all have family that are blood related then you have folks that cross your path in life that you know are sent from Heaven. These two are Heaven sent. When they say they Love you its felt. When they say they're going to do something it's their word it will be done. I have to include Grandma because they were a Team (sometime a tag Team) but a Team. I Love to hear them pick at one another. I truly believe he enjoyed rattling her nerves at times to keep her on her toes. Those two are truly one of a kind pair. I first met grandpa in Georgia. I grew up on a dirt track my dad drove a race car he taught me to drive. I drove in the (powder puff races at age 13 & older) Grandpa & I shared racing stories. He would capture your attention with his story telling he was so anitimated at times. He shared with me his Love for Harley's. We would go to the Harley Davidson store he showed me what every part was for. He & Grandma went to a couple of Harley Charities for Kids at Christmas with me. He just lit up. He Loved it. A few times Grandma was gone to town. He wanted to go get a coffee at Dunkin Donut. He would say Renea just hop on back of the Bike & hurry before "Inee" aka Grandma gets back she won't let me go. After hopping on the bike almost taking out a truck & a few trees. I knew why grandma would be nervous. We made it safe. He was Happy he got away with something without her approval. Just another one of his little funny things. He taught me a few handyman skills at the cabin. He loved that place and poured his Heart into it so Family Memories could be made there. He showed me how to shoot snakes on the rocks without killing the neighbors cows. My memories of this Awesome man could go on & on. I Loved him so much my Heart is broken. It's not just from missing him but for Grandma his Team mate. They did something for me that was so Special a day I'll never forget. I was raised by my grand parents and both of them are in Heaven. I guess that's why I feel so close to these two. They picked up where mine had left off. I don't have a close family & I was getting married in March of 2012. It was a small wedding but, I needed someone to walk me down the isle. I ask grandma & grandpa to walk me & they did. We did a lot of bumping back & forth but, we made it. I can't explain how Happy that made me. When I moved to Destin, Florida 2013 grandma & grandpa came to visit me. They drove of course the modern day Bonnie & Clyde. The adventurous couple. I just bought an antique china cabinet, table chairs even a screen to match. It had some scratches on it. He said he loved it. It was hand carved from the Philippines. We had planned to get it restored.He could not sit back he wanted to help grandpa was such a detail person. They went to the store he came back with the wood touch up markers. He said he would fix it for me. He sat there off & on for days during their visit working on it for me. I still have those markers today. We have since moved to Texas to be close to our grand girls. As time passes and we age our health declines. I talk to grandma on a regular bases so we planned for them to visit back last year July 2016. The modern day Bonnie & Clyde at it again. We danced around Drs appointments for months so we finally had a date. They were on their way to Texas but with one catch. They waited on Sugie to get out of town & I couldn't tell her they were coming all that way until they were back in Florida (sneaky sneaky) these two. I was so Happy to see them. His decline in health was obvious. He was still spunky as ever he never lost that. He still did his picking at Grandma & would keep her rattled. I Loved hearing him call her "Inee". She would remind him of his eye drops or his medicine. He couldn't find it or it was just misplaced, lost etc....He could do everything on his own. He's not a Baby he would say. We went out to dinner one night sea food on the water grandpa loved it. We returned home he had chest pains. This is something grandma had been telling me was going on for a while. We prayed he started to feel better. While they were in Texas last year they were introduced to our newest family member Lil Trump he's a mini pig. They helped me with him. We have 4 piggies and grandpa loved watching them they would make him laugh. I send grandma & grandpa cards for every occasion. I waited and gave grandpa his Father's Day card when they came for the visit. I put a $100 bill in his card & you would have thought I gave him a Gold Bar the size of a truck. He was so Proud & Thankful. He said he had his own money now& he had never got a $100 bill before. Well, he hid the bill from grandma & his self. She just recently found it. When they left Texas that day I said a Prayer as they drove away. I felt like I would never see him again. I never said anything to Grandma. We planned for them to come earlier this year. We bought a house on the Bay. Grandma said just get us a couple rocking chairs & we'll be Happy so I did. The doctors appointments week after week trying to figure out what was going on with grandpa put the visit on standby. We wanted to make sure everything was ok with him & her. Well grandpa won't get to sit in his rocking chair I bought for him. The Lord had different plans for him. I will never forget any of the memories I've mentioned here and the many other ones I didn't. I wrote all this not really for anyone to read but, for myself and to him. Grandpa you're Celebrating your new life in Heaven and you made it just in time for Easter. Jesus is Alive and now you're with him. As you Dance, Sing, Rejoice with the Angels you've left a void in our hearts. I know you wouldn't come back to this old world full of sickness, pain and tears. But, I just want you to know what an impact you left on my life. I will forever be Thankful, Grateful, Honored and Blessed to have known you. I Thank God he allowed our paths to cross all those years ago. I will do my Best to help look after grandma. I Love you Grandpa, you took a piece of my heart with you. But, you left pieces of you with me. I Thank You Grandpa.

Mary We've all heard the cliche "you are truly one of a kind". Well in this case, it's not an exaggeration. Both Conrad and Inez are truly "one of a kind". I know this is suppose to be a tribute to Conrad but when you think of Conrad, you think of Inez because they "hung" together as a couple. Just recently I took the opportunity to get to know Conrad and Inez on a more personal level & what a fun and unique couple to be around!! At first, I was visiting in order to "do" the "Christian" thing but after the 1st visit I thought, "man I really enjoy these guys." They may be seniors in age but they certainly aren't in heart. They both possess their own special God-given "spunk". I am sorry I didn't take the opportunity to know Conrad sooner. He was just beginning to share some of his wild & crazy adventures during his lifetime and "boring" was not a part of the picture. He certainly lived his life to the fullest and seemed to be very humble in regard to all his accomplishments. When I asked him about some of his inventions he said, "you don't think about things, you just do it! (Hmmm..sounds familiar) I'm sure the good Lord is enjoying having Conrad up there even more than we did down here and it's so good to know death does not have the final word...We will see him again!

Wow.........where do I start.......this little box in no way can provide ample space or enough of an opportunity to share what this man has meant to me in my life. An attempted snapshot of the time I got to spend here with him is the best I can try to do.........Grandpa was one of the people in my life who everytime he had a story to tell, I could completely lock in and forget everything that was going on in the outside world at that moment. He had a way in bringing the story to a level where you felt as if you were there when it happened. His humor was priceless during these moments! Whether he was voicing his discontent about something in the story or just wanting to share with you the joy he got while experiencing whatever the story was about, you were always guaranteed a good laugh, always. Some of the best laughter I've enjoyed in my life were with my Grandpa and Grandma. Those two honestly provided some of the best comedic moments anyone could ever witness! One of the fondest moments I can share with you of my Grandpa is the time he spent putting together (and involving me in the process) my first car that I ever owned. The year was 1995,my senior year of high school. I was 17 years old. At that point in my life, I had begged, borrowed, and whined my way into borrowing just about everyone in the family's car at some point since getting my license the day I turned 16. From Grannie's Oldsmobile, to Terry's Volkswagen Diesel Rabbit (thing cost like $10 to fill up and ran on one tank of gas for 3 weeks---that was clutch---thanks Uncle Terry!) to Grandpa's luxurious Black Van-----yes, you all remember the infamous black van!! That thing had more miles on it than a road atlas!!! That thing was Grandpa's chariot and a holy grail of sorts for the vehicles in the family. For those of you who don't know, the demise of the black van was due in part to the ignorance of some young punk kid who's only concern was that he had to get where he was going and didn't understand or appreciate that you can't mistreat big diesel engines in vehicles and he proceeded to burn up the engine in the sacred vehicle!! Yep----you guessed it, it was me......I literally didn't think I was going to live to see 18!! But you see, Grandpa was a different kind of man. Yes, he definitely was a upset and frazzled for a time, but even through all that, he did what every Grandfather who loves his grandkids does---he forgave and then gave........You see, Grandpa had his own white Ford Mustang at that time that had a decked out Saleen body kit on it with a 305 engine in it and that thing looked mean sitting in the driveway and cruising down the road. He had it decked out with racing stripes and low profile performance tires. I was smitten! How many 17 year olds do you know out there that would tell anyone "I wanna be like my Grandpa and have the car he has!" Well I certainly did, and I made sure I voiced this to Grandpa---often!! I'm sure it was part love, part wanting to shut me up, and part just another opportunity for Grandpa to work his magic and put something together to give to me. My first car was a 1984 4 cylinder Ford Mustang, painted white, with red racing stripes, and a low profile body kit to match Grandpa's. I never told him (but I'm sure he knew), when I went down to the shop in Homosassa to work on the car everyday in the summer, it was in those days that I learned the value of appreciating something that was nice and how to care and take care of something to keep it nice. You see Grandpa was particular, a craftsman, so he wasn't going to accept junk or anything less than perfect. I spent hours hand sanding that car to get all the old paint off of it and prepping it to put primer and the fresh coat of white paint that would eventually end up being the body color of the car. Grandpa taught me in those days that attention to detail is important if you want to have and enjoy something nice. Thank you Grandpa :) I'll end this little narrative with the memory that I'll always carry with me for the rest of my days......Grandpa and Grandma would frequent my basketball games when I was coaching the last 8 years. My players always enjoyed having them and so did I. I loved Grandpa's post game commentary when he would get back to the house after the games those evenings. He'd have some hilarious comments or some funny questions about why certain things happened during the game. I remember distinctly the last time I saw Grandpa---him and Grandma had come to my teams tournament game in Brooksville at Hernando High School. Him and Grandma sat in 2 chairs only feet away from our bench and I really liked that they could be so close and kind of see what it was like to watch me coach. Of course I hoped my team would win, but I also really wanted to do the best I could do as a coach and have them be proud of me. I eagerly anticipated some questions that Grandpa would have for me after the game and the laughs I'm sure we would have! I'm happy to be able to remember that we won the game and that I did a good job coaching my guys in the last game that he would get to see me do that. Thank you for your support Grandpa :) Grandpa and I always had a funny little thing we'd go back and forth on.....it was the simple way in which he notified anyone who called his cellphone and got his voicemail when he didn't answer-----"Conrad, leave a message"----My message to you Grandpa---I miss you, I love you, and I can't wait to see you again one day. My uncle was a man that I looked up to! He's a very kind man! He called me Jan Jan!! I will miss him dearly! So glad I got to spend time with him before he left us!!!
