

Donald Paul Loutsch, a beloved husband, son, brother, stepfather, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, in Lighthouse Point, Florida, at the age of 78. Born on January 30, 1947, in East St. Louis, Illinois, Don lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and service to others.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara (Faller), and his cherished stepchildren: Kenn (Melani), Steve (Sonya), and Tracy (Michael). Don was a proud grandfather to Nicole (Justin), Nicholas, Madeline, and Lilya, and a joyful great-grandfather to Cash and Rockford. He also leaves behind his loving siblings: Marcie, Richard (Martha), George (Barbara), Tom (Susan), Kathleen and James, along with many treasured nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Maree (Mueller) and George, his brother John, and his grandson, Jacob.
Don earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Frostburg State University in Maryland, a Master of Science degree in Human Service Administration, and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. He dedicated his career to advocating for children and families, and his work spanned several impactful organizations, including Eagle Village in Reed City, Michigan, the Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, and the Children’s Trust of Miami, Florida. His legacy of care and commitment continues to inspire all who knew him.
Beyond his professional life, Don found joy in the simple pleasures—gardening, painting, woodworking, and spending time with his family. He was also a proud supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, where he mentored and guided young lives with patience and wisdom.
A Catholic funeral and Mass will be held in his honor at St. Coleman Catholic Church in Pompano Beach, Florida, on Friday, May 23, at 11 am. Family and friends are invited to celebrate a life well lived and a man deeply loved.
