Jacklynn Sizensky

SIZENSKY, Jacklynn (Markoja), age 86, of Pompano Beach, FL, formerly of Stratford and Seymour, CT. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Jacklynn was born in Stratford, CT on February 9, 1939, the daughter of the late Mildred Cranford and Stephen Markoja. Jacklynn was a devout communicant of St. Gabriel’s Church of Pompano Beach, FL.

Jacklynn was a very proud first generation American. Besides her devotion to her family, she was dedicated to her professional career for most of her life, beginning at Columbia Records. She also worked many years at Sikorsky Aircraft and Cargo Control Consulting.

After retirement, she had many hobbies. She was involved in her church and library. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was also a devoted gardener with a green thumb who enjoyed giving all her loved one’s plants so they would think of her and smile.

She leaves behind her loving children, Jill Sizensky (Kevin Barton) of Durham, CT, Judith Sizensky (Shawn Onion) of Naples, FL and Raymond R. Sizensky, Jr. (Courtney) of Jupiter, FL. She also leaves her grandchildren, which were her pride and joy, Jordan T. Barton, Jenna M. Barton, Gavin P. Sizensky and Nolan J. Sizensky.

On May 31, 2025, @ 11:00 am a memorial service will be held at Horizon Funeral Home, 4650 N. Federal Hwy, Lighthouse Point, FL 33064. Father Nathan of St. Gabriel Church will lead the prayer service.
