John was the strong silent type, A man of few words, he was more of a doer than a talker. Instead of telling you he cared about you, he would show you. He gave to people when they were in need, and did not expect anything in return. He was very friendly, very welcoming. When I came to the house, he would greet me with a handshake and a "How ya doin', kiddo?" I never had to be alone on Thanksgiving and Christmas because the invitation was always there to come to his house to eat and to celebrate. Those were wonderful times. My prayers go out to Melody, Joan, and Alex. May God bless them.

My Cousin Johnny, He was a compassionate, caring and loving part of our family which I would like to share with all of you. I remember how excited and happy he was when he called my Mom, the family knew her as Aunt Theresa. He said, " Aunt Theresa, I'm a Dad, we have a baby girl, her name is Melody. Then, moving forward many years, the call came again with the same excitement from Johnny. "Aunt Theresa, I'm a Grandpa, Melody had a baby girl, her name is Alex." He was a proud Father and Grandfather and that's what a family is all about. Johnny always took time after work to stop in and see my Mom; she thought a lot of Johnny and loved those visits. Johnny came to visit her in the hospital and hold her hand when she was sick. Little did I know that 13 years later, on the same floor and hospital, I would hold his hand and pray with him. That's what families do for each other and we are one family now and forever. My love and prayers for comfort and healing of our hearts to Melody, Alex, Jerry (Sherie), Sandy(Kim) and George(Ann). Healing prayers to Cassie(Nick), Jerry, Jr., Grace and Alex(Beata) Maggie and Iris. We love you Johnny, always and forever family, rest in God's arms. Love your cousin, Terri, Bill and Katherine

My Dad! Most hard working man I've ever known! He was kind, generous and welcoming! Our house was our friends house, the doors were always opened! We shared so many wonderful travel adventures, so many trips to the Keys snorkeling and setting up those condos! Parties at our house were endless with our friends! The support we provided each other as Father and Daughter, is mostly unheard of! Although he was a man of few words and emotions at times, he was there when I needed him most and provided the comfort I needed as well! My Dad, was a good man too many and well liked throughout his life! I know I'm Blessed to have had him as my Dad, even though the last few years were rough for us! He was a wonderful Dad! Always Remembered, Love Always!

I have also known John for more that 40 years, Melody said it all best. He never let anyone down and was always there with a helping hand in any emergency and an offer of a meal to share with his family and friends. He was the closest thing to a brother that I will ever have. My mom loved him like a son and could not have thought more highly of him, as did all of my family, he will be forever missed. I will always treasure the memory of him in our attempt to go one day to the keys to fish, only to spend the entire day broken down at the side of the Turnpike Extension, but somehow, John still made it a fun adventure. Meeting John the first time back in 2013, I enjoyed seeing his excitement for fishing. Always very nice to hear the stories he had for Fishing. Melody and Alex so sorry, as well all that knew John, He has left me thinking of his experiences while he took to the water.

We will cherish our 41 years of remembrances of our best friend John. Our thoughts, prayers and sympathy go out to his loving wife Joan, brothers; George, Sandy and Jerry, daughter Melody and granddaughter Alex, and as well to all of John's family and friends. While he will be greatly missed by all of us, he would want us to quickly adjust to his passing, always remember the good times we had with him and get back to living happier lives.

John's spirit will certainly live on through memories shared. If you knew John, then you have a story to tell. He always teased me about living in Western Pennsylvania and questioned if we were civilized enough to have 7-11 stores here. Before there was PhotoShop there was John's early version. Taking a trophy fish off the wall of the motel in the Keys and positioning it in a snapshot to look like the 'catch of the day' was very PhotoShopesque, Planting buried treasure for our son to 'find' on a lobster trap diving excursion with John and my brother Roger comes to mind too. My prayers and sympathy go out to Joan and all John's friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
