Laverne was born to parents Colonel & Cassie Hammond in Pittsford, Illinois on March 17th, 1930.
He leaves to celebrate his passing two sons, Dennis Hammond (Shelia) and David Hammond (Linda) and a host of other rejoicing family and friends.
Laverne joins his dearly beloved wife, Betty Zane Hammond in heaven, together with his father, mother and four siblings.
Funeral services will be as follows:
Viewing & Reception: Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Horizon Funeral Home, 4650 N. Federal Highway, Lighthouse Point, FL.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, 5555 N. Federal Hwy, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33308
Burial: Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. (Lane #5) at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449
