Madelyn Sobon Dorn

Formerly of South Orange, New Jersey, she is the beloved wife of Peter Dorn and loving mother of Jessica Leddin (Kevin) and Steven Sobon (Melissa). She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Liv and Quinn Leddin and Matthew and Kathryn Sobon, and her sister Gail Norton.

Madelyn began her professional career as a high school English teacher in Newark, NJ. After moving to Florida in 1987, she began her social work career working for the Department of Children and Families, as a child abuse investigator. She loved reading, crafting and entertaining. Lovingly known as "Honey" to Liv & Quinn and "Bama" to Matthew and Katie, she adored her family most of all. She was an amazing friend, was generous beyond measure and was a Mom to many "adopted daughters". Her beautiful smile and giving spirit will be deeply missed.

Memorial services are being planned for a later date.
