It was a very sad day when I learned of Marylou’s passing.  I’ve known her since her family moved to Riveredge Drive and shared many wonderful and special memories throughout our  school years and beyond.  She was one of those rare individuals who lit up the room, who took a sincere interest in you and who was genuinely kind and caring.  Beyond loving her family, she absolutely adored them.  Such a combination of love and kindness and respect for people is not easily found today.  The world has lost a true gem.  Our sincere condolences to her family and all who loved her.

My heart is heavy for Marylou's family. I never had the pleasure of meeting Marylou, but I know her sister Lisa very well.  God has a way of cutting out a family mold with the same qualities. I have always heard so many wonderful and loving attributes about Lisa's siblings including Marylou and Lisa's visits to Florida. My prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

I can’t express the sadness I felt when Roy called to let me know about Marylou.   Truly her and Roy were like extended family to me and my heart breaks for Roy and all of her family.  She was there for me to talk to through my dad’s cancer from agent orange 10 years ago before he passed and also with my mom before she passed in March.    
Marylou always would light up a room when she walked in and her caring was from the heart always.  Ever since I moved back up to Parma Ohio I would get to see them when she came to town to see her family!  

My prayers and thoughts are with Roy and her family.

There are persons you meet during your journey of life that make an indelible imprint and change the trajectory of your life. Marylou was such a person in my life. She was a mentor and friend who would always tell me "I'm just a phone call away Jackie". Your laughter and smile will be missed. Rest in Peace! My condolences to Roy and the rest of her family.

Marylou was a breath of fresh air and a shining light in the world. I had the pleasure of helping her with her wedding and her infectious spirit made it a pleasure. God bless her husband and loved ones, knowing she watches over us.

Marylou was my neighbor in Oakland Park Florida.   She always had a smile and a cheerful word.   She was an incredible cook, often bringing me delicious dinners.   She kept an eye on me during the COVID pandemic.   She supplied me with material and I made masks for her to take to work when there was a shortage .   She and Roy were both so very kind.   I will miss her.

I am truly blessed to have had an aunt like Aunt Marylou. There are so many memories of her that will forever stay in my heart. She spoiled all six of her nieces and all sixteen great nieces and nephews with love, and she always managed to stay in the loop on everyone’s lives even from all the way in Florida. I will miss her hugs, her happy birthday calls, her laugh, the bond she had with her siblings, always coming home for the holidays, and always showing each other our nail colors. She had such a special way of making everyone feel loved. Heaven truly gained one of the kindest souls 🤍

Marylou…..I was very Blessed to have you in my life!  You became my Sister 47 years ago when I married Louie.  We have shared so many wonderful memories throughout these years.  You always managed to make me and my entire family always feel very special and loved.  We have shared many many laughs and also many many tears.  I will miss our long conversations on the phone, 4th of July celebrations, Christmases, birthday calls with you singing to us, card games when you stayed with us, shopping at midnight with me for those last minute Christmas gifts and wrapping endless presents with you.  You always made sure to have the prettiest presents. Your laughter was contagious and you always lit up a room.  You loved your family and friends with all your heart. There are no words that can truly capture the essence of who Marylou was.  But one of her many incredible gifts was the gift of encouragement.  I did a career change back in 2003 and Marylou was always available to answer my neurological questions in a very concise and easy to understand manner.  After I took my praxis for my speech-language pathology certification I was in a panic.  I was convinced that I had failed and wanted to cancel my score and schedule another exam.  Marylou talked me off the cliff and told me that I had passed and that everyone always feels that way.   Well, of course she was right.   Marylou was truly the "glue" that held all of us together.   She will be missed but she will always hold a special spot in the hearts of those who loved her and were loved by her.

Smartest person I know, pretty, witty, fun, great laugh, loud, bossy, crazy football fan, fierce card player, midnight shopper, considerate, taught me to drive, wore matching dresses when we were young, helped me with our parents to let me wear eyeshadow when I was 13, playing street hockey on Riveredge, water balloon fights, kick the can, hide-n-go-seek, tipping canoes at Mohican, long summer days, snuck into drive-in movies with a pile of kids in the trunk of the car, family parties, 4th of July reunions, big Christmas, generous, loved to debate, loved US Government class, called me every day, loved her job, always wanted to be a nurse, hard worker, always had time to help others, shared her love with family and friends. Heaven gained an  angel with so much vibrance and sparkle. When I think of my Aunt Marylou, I think of her love of making things feel special and look beautiful. She always went big… whether it was an over the top Christmas bow, a delicious meal, or anything else that had her touch. Having Aunt Marylou as my Godmother is something I will always cherish. 

Although she lived in Florida, she never felt like she was far away because she always would be passed around on the phone at holidays, birthday parties, and other events in our family. Her big and bright  personality was always present, even when she was not. While Heaven seems a lot further than Florida, she will always be in our family and hearts through the memories and love she shared with us. We will miss her contagious laugh and love forever.

Marylou made a huge impact on my life. She was not only my manager at my time at CCF but a mentor. Because of Marylou, I went back to school and pursued more than what I thought I could ever achieve. She believed in me and cared for all those she came across. She knew the OR like no other. The operating room was her baby and she surely took care of everyone that stepped foot in that department. 

I will carry all the memories and experiences we shared together close and in heart. Thank you Marylou, for everything. You will be missed but never forgotten. May you rest in peace and know i’m eternally grateful our paths crossed.

Marylou you were one of the first Cleveland Clinic folks to come to South Florida. You were a true class act. I always admired your commitment and passion for the patients and staff.

I am so sad to hear of Mary Lou's passing. Friday and Saturday high school nights were spent driving in Mary Lou's car, going to football games or eating pizza at Stephanos. Hanging out at Mary Lou's house with her family was a bonus. May her memory be a blessing and warm your hearts.

Cant believe you are gone. You were CCF. When one of us hurt you hurt as well and when we were happy we celebrated . What great times we had there. You were always giving  of yourself and going the extra mile. You jumped through hoops for me many times and for this Im grateful. You were an inspiration and I will never forget you. I have known Marylou and coworker for the past 35 years and she was such a great person not only knowing her but she was like a sister to me . we had good times and bad lol . Marylou always thought of homeless people before thinking of herself , Marylou also made sure the homeless had clothes to wear and  food to eat . I would get my yearly call  from Marylou telling me get ready to deliver Clothes or the food from the drives she would hold for the homeless . Please lets make sure we continue with her kindness and support of those in need , wow 35 years i can go on forever but i will stop here and say she will be missed dearly and may she rest in peace ,
