Michael Paul Caplan

Michael was born on September 16, 1947 in Seattle, Washington to Lewis Caplan and Eleanor Herz. He attended Florida State University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree. He was a proud FSU graduate and loved his Seminoles. Throughout his life, Michael's passion was always fishing as well as his love for classic cars, especially his corvette.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Ruth, stepchildren Cyndi (Pat) and Jason, grandchildren D.J., Nick, and Danielle who always called him Captain Mike, sister Lora (Eldon), niece Shelly (Greg), and nephew Alan as well as many friends.

The family of Michael Caplan will be receiving guests from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday March 7, 2021 at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 4650 N.
