Robert was our guy at DS18 he was someone you wanted to talk to he was a funny guy that you could tell cared about everything and everyone he knew. I will always miss him saying  when we talk “hey girl”. Robert was a friend. Someone I will miss talking to and hearing his laugh.

Loving Memory of Rob

Rob was a beloved father, previous partner and friend whose presence brought light and love into the lives of everyone who knew him. He was a devoted father to our son and embraced my children as his own, loving each of them with his whole heart. His memory will live on through the family he cherished so deeply.

Rob had a contagious smile and the biggest heart—always ready with kindness, laughter, and support. He loved life, he loved family, and he gave himself fully to both. I was incredibly fortunate not only to call Rob my partner but to witness the incredible father he was to our kids.

His warmth, his joy, and his unwavering love will never be forgotten. We carry him with us always.

My dear brother,

I have written so many cards to you over the past 20 years and now I find myself at a loss for words.

Thank you for all you've done for me, for lifting me up during my grief, driving me around, teaching me English, for countless car karaoke evenings with you messing up the lyrics to pretty much every song, for so many inside jokes, for letting me keep your secrets, and above all, thank you for giving me the opportunity to share your victories and to cry together during difficult times.

Robbie we have done so much for each other and the beauty of it all, is that we did not have to! We weren't blood related, we weren't family, we simply chose to be there for each other, time and time again,  until the very end. And boy, am I glad we did!

Its been a blessing to call you friend and to hear your "Hiiiii crazy monkey" 10 times a day, just 10 seconds after hanging up on each other for some stupid reason! 

To the Chin Family and Brandon, may God's love surround you and bring you comfort during this painful time. 

To Robbie, as I told you just a week ago, I am proud of you for not giving up and fighting your way through.

Rob or as I called him “ Mr. Chin was such a kind hearted and funny soul, Rob was always looking out for my family and I for years as Brandon got older Rob would always pass down shoes, and his clothing to my son it was a big help to me, I’ll never forget his generosity and care. I know I speak for myself along with the staff at the Brus Room, Rob will be dearly missed. Rest easy, brother. My sincere condolences go out to Brandon and the rest of his family.

I want to express my deepest deepest condolences to Robert’s family m. I had known Robert from the earliest days, we attended Iroquois Jr. Public School. He had such a big heart, he always had a smile on his face. I’m so saddened by this news. My brother’s and I knew all his siblings in fact we all grew up as family. 
I remember speaking to Robert some years ago and he mentioned that he was living in Florida.
May God comfort his family members during this most difficult time. Sleep in Peace Robert.

Im a saddened by this loss . Rob was a huge teddy bear . I remember the laughs , the calls , him trusting me with watching his son when he was little .I have known him since I was 16 and I consider him then and now to be a big brother . I grew up across the street from the Chin Family in Scarborough Ontario. Although I have not seen them in many years the joy the entire family brought to my family will never be forgotten.  Robert reached out to me on facebook a few years ago so I was able to follow his path with a few text messages along the way. 

Robert always had a smile on his face and a giggle.  One thing always stood out to my family is although the Chin family was many they were close and stuck together, you always felt the love in their home. We had the privledge of seeing this first hand. 

My condolences to the entire Chin family , Robert was taken far too soon!  Cherish your memories and the love shared.

I am so saddened to hear of Rob’s passing.  Sending my deepest condolences to the entire Chin family from myself and the rest of our Zaravinos family.  We grew up next door to Rob on Pipers Green. He was my friend and was always there for me especially when I lost my sister Anna, he showed me such kindness and support. I send condolences from myself and the Aldridge family to the Chin clan.  I met Ramon and Sue-Moy at Aurora High School and met Rob at a party and we were fast friends!  We became like family.  When he moved to Florida we lost touch but would catch up on Facebook and when he visited Toronto.   Our little group of friends is heartbroken to find out he is gone.  Rest in power king and know you will be missed and remembered by all of us who loved you!

Rob I'm filled with sadness knowing you had to leave us. I understand it's your time, and God is ready for you. I'll always cherish the memories of our last meeting in January, seeing the joy on your face when we spent time together. Those moments, combined with the good times we shared years ago, will forever be treasured. Going to miss or weekly talks .Though the family misses you dearly, we take comfort in knowing you're in a better place, free from stress and pain. Today I received sad news about Robert Chin. Robert passed  this morning . Robert and I were best buddies growing up in Toronto Canada 🍁 we were both very competitive in track and field and all sports including hockey ,soccer, basketball  and baseball. The Chins were there for us when my pops passed and we always looked out for each other when I moved to Florida and then he and Ramon moved down. Robert always had a giving and caring soul and will be greatly missed. 🙏 rest in peace my brother.
