Ronald Hunchak

Ronald Hunchak, a beloved husband, uncle and friend passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on May 9, 1943, in Bayonne, he grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey, as one of three children. Ronald, known for his humorous, Generous and kindhearted nature, He was a perpetual prankster who brought joy and laughter to those around him.

He pursued his passion for football, which earned him a scholarship to attend college and graduated from Jersey City State College with a teaching degree. Following his education, Ronald dedicated his career to teaching at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, positively impacting the lives of countless students.

Ronald was the beloved husband of Nina Kunzle Hunchak, with whom he shared 36 wonderful years. He was also a devoted family man, leaving behind his loving wife and three cherished cats. He is survived by seven nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great-niece. Ronald was predeceased by his parents Joe and Loretta Hunchak , his brother Joe, and his sister Lorraine Schumann and her husband Cliff.

In his leisure time, Ron enjoyed fishing, coaching football, betting on the horses, wood working and entertaining family and friends. He loved country music, particularly Willie Nelson.

Ronald Hunchak will be fondly remembered for his loyalty, compassion, and the joy he brought into the lives of everyone he encountered.
