Born in Stamford, Connecticut, MSGT Ward served over 21 years with the U.S. Air Force until retiring in 1993. He is the beloved husband of Dora Elena Ward, stepfather of Jennifer Melendro (Guillermo Garces). Brother of Wendy Bolz, Geoffrey Ward and Suzie Muir. He is also survived by two adoring grandchildren, Maria Camila Garces (Jordan Peralta) and Nick Garces and great granddaughter, Sofia Peralta.
A visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Thursday January 16 from 9-11:00 a.m. where a service of remembrance will commence at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services with military honors will follow at 12:30 p.m. at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449. Participants are requested to arrive by 12:15 p.m. and assemble in funeral cortege lane #1.
